Something to warm the soul this winter season, a mixture of scents and nonsense from an editorial last summer in GIB magazine (Austria). A tribute to an old master Francesco Scavullo, many take from him without giving him his due credit. His photography including covers, fashion editorials, portraits and advertising campaigns in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s when the models, both male and female were true models, Icons of Beauty not photoshop creations, inspire me to search for this retro beauty of the past. He immortalized soo many, Jerry Hall, Rene Russo, Brooke, Paulina, Linda, Karen and my late friend, the troubled Gia Carangi. Simple, clean … the only accessories were a thought, a frown, a smirk, a smile … a moment, an alluring pause, an emotion …..from the model and from us. Thank you Francesco!
