… a few days in the new year visiting old friends in Florence, after spending some of the most memorable years of my life in Florence, it is always a pleasure returning … of course, the city is not the same, it changes as we do, for better and sometimes for worse but i must say , my friends from that period have always remained dear to me like the architect Nicola Falcone and designer Ludwig Hartmann … we were all roommates sharing the ups & downs on Via della Stufa, AKA ‘Falconecrest’, me , beginning my photography career and doing promoting of various local clubs, scouting models and organizing exhibitions of art & design, and Nicola & Ludwig with their design … i also had the pleasure of having tea with the Countess of Fashion, Erika Costa, chatting about the good old days when models where really beautiful or handsome without photoshop, and photographers would use only film and magic was created on the set not in post production. that what we need … MORE MAGIC in our future … i had also the opportunity to show this beautiful city of art to one of my new models, Mischel Ellern … a bit of cultural shock for him as he only arrived in Italy from Miami for the first time, the day before, i hope that his future will be full of success and fond memories of Italy … we were accompanied buy another local Florentine model Massimo Russo who I see also a bright future … and once again good food, good drink and good friends …
